Going Big + Going Home

This project was our our very first new build! We took months dreaming up the perfect floorpan for our busy family of five. Using our own "wishlist", we included all of the things that we couldn't find when searching for the perfect home. We started construction in the fall of 2019 and just as we were down in the sheetrock dust trenches, COVID-19 hit. We had learned in previous projects that we rarely were satisfied with hired finishing work, so everything from that point was completed by us: flooring, millwork, cabinetry, painting, etc. It took about a year and a half to complete and was a true labor of love.

Designed from scratch, it is truly one of a kind. Downstairs has an open concept floorpan with 10' ceilings and crank-open windows throughout. The floors are solid maple reclaimed from an old cotton mill in the 1920's. Every room, even the closets, have custom cabinetry. Upstairs, we created a hidden playroom nestled between two bedrooms that can only be accessed through the walk-through closets. The garage was extended for a massive 1000 square foot workshop and there was a matching studio space above. We gained so much experience building this beauty and it was the perfect home for our buyers in 2022.
